Ap State Men Swat Away Georgia State, 77-72....BOONE, N.C. –– Behind 14 3-pointers and double-figure scoring from Patrick Good (Johnson City, Tenn./David Crockett), Ronshad Shabazz (Raleigh, N.C./Huntington Prep (W.V.)), Emarius Logan (Columbia, S.C./White Knoll) and Jake Babic (Oakville, Ontario/The Kiski School), Appalachian State University men’s basketball swatted away Georgia State and moved to 3-0 against the Panthers inside the Holmes Center since joining the Sun Belt.

The Watauga High girls will be a No. 2 seed in the Northwestern 3A-4A Conference Tournament, which begins Tuesday night against Patton, the No. 7, at Lentz-Eggers Gym. The WHS boys, a No. 8 seed, travel to Freedom Tuesday night. Click on the link below for more information....

App Drops a Hard-Fought 5-3 Battle to Jacksonville....JACKSONVILLE, FLA.  – Appalachian State University softball dropped a 5-3 nail-biter to Jacksonville University in extra innings on Friday night at the Debbie & Fred Pruitt Softball Complex. App State held the lead at the bottom of the ninth until the Dolphins hit a walk-off homer to take the win.

SAWMILLS, NC - Watauga High junior Madi Darner and senior Karson Hamrick took matters into their how hands Friday night as the Pioneers rallied for a 57-44 win against South Caldwell on the road. Darner finished with a season-high 24 points. Hamrick had 16. And those two teamed up on a 10-0 run that broke South Caldwell's back in the fourth quarter.
