Baseball Drops Slugfest to Wake Forest...BOONE, N.C. — Wake Forest scored in each of the first six innings of a wild 15-9 win over Appalachian State University baseball on Tuesday evening at Beaver Field at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium.

Last week, the ACHS  Athletic Department  announced that Jacob Lail  had been promoted to Head  Coach of the Varsity  Women’s Basketball team,  replacing outgoing Coach Brad Mangum. Magnum announced last week that he is stepping away  from the position to pursue coaching opportunities on the collegiate level. A current history teacher at Alexander Central, Lail served as an assistant to Coach Mangum this past season.
