WEST JEFFERSON, NC - The Ashe County High boy's basketball team snapped its two-game losing streak in a big way Wednesday night by knocking off first-place Starmount 60-51 in a key Mountain Valley 1A-2A Athletic Conference game.

Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina fifth-year head coach Mark Speir today announced the signing of 14 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent (NLI) to play football for the Catamounts beginning in the fall of 2016 as a part of National Signing Day. Each signee will enter WCU as a freshman in the fall of 2016.

BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University football officially completed its class of 24 newcomers on Wednesday’s National Signing Day. The class of 23 includes two student-athletes that are already enrolled at Appalachian State and 22 that signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday to attend Appalachian in the fall.
