NEW ORLEANS -  For the third time in his illustrious career, Appalachian State University football running back Marcus Cox (Dacula, Ga./Dacula) was named Sun Belt’s Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference named its football players of the week today for all games played Sept. 10. Western Carolina’s Tyrie Adams was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while The Citadel’s Dee Delaney earned the Defensive Player of the Week award. Samford’s Austin Barnard was tabbed as the Special Teams Player of the Week. The players of the week are selected by the league office.

CENTRAL, S.C. --- Five different Lees-McRae players scored a goal while the women's soccer team throttled Southern Wesleyan, 5-0, in a Conference Carolinas tilt Saturday afternoon at Childs Field in Central, S.C.

BOONE, N.C. –– Television arrangements for Appalachian State University men’s basketball’s matchup at NC State on Dec. 15 has been finalized by ESPN. The Black and Gold will face off against the Wolfpack in prime-time in front of a national audience on ESPNU. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at PNC Arena.

On Sunday afternoon the Appalachian State Sports Information Department announced additional details for the App State vs Miami football game Saturday September 17th.
