The Appalachian State men's basketball team could bolster its inside game.

There are rumors circulating around that ASU might be getting seven-footer Brian Okam, a rising sophomore from Rutgers University. Okam, a native of Nigeria played at three different high schools--Archbishop Carroll in Washington, DC, Montrose (MD) Christian and Highland Park in New Jersey--during his prep career.
Okam has been granted his transfer release from Rutgers. In 16 games last season, Okam, who is considered to be talented but very raw, averaged only 1.1 points and 1.1 rebounds a game for the Scarlet Knights.
