Harrelson, who was a standout in track and field for ASU, was also a six-time All-America.

She captured two national titles in the 1500-meter-run. Her first one came in 1999; her second one came in 2001. Harrelson was also the North Carolina Woman of the Year in 2001.

Harrelson will be inducted into the SoCon Hall of Fame on June 1 at Hilton Head Island, SC. Among those to be inducted with Harrelson is former professional basketball player and broadcaster Rodney Clark “Hot Rod” Hundley.

Hundley, who played his college basketball at the University of West Virginia, played in both National Basketball Association and American Basketball Association before he became a broadcaster for the Utah Jazz.
