8:18 a.m. - The man suspected of killing two Lenoir residents in their home 19 years ago is now facing the death penalty.

Foothills Radio reports 50-year-old William Eugene Murphy could be put to death if convicted of the two counts of first-degree murder.

Caldwell County Sheriff Alan C. Jones announced Murphy’s arrest early last month.  The suspected murders took place in November of 1990.
