10:25 p.m. - The Appalachian State men's basketball team will play The Citadel in the semi-final round of the Southern Conference Tournament Saturday night down in Charlotte.

The Citadel, the No.4 seed from the South Division, advanced by beating Samford 55-43 Friday night. Cameron Wells led the Bulldogs with 17 points. The Bulldogs defeated ASU 62-58 in their only meeting this season back in early January at the Holmes Center.
The Mountaineers (20-11 overall) are the No.1 seed from the North Division and they have won five in a row and eight of their last ten games. The Mountaineers, who were 8-2 in February, are also coming off their second 20-win season in five years.
