|New Boating Law Goes into Effect in the Spring|

12:08 - It may be tough to imagine hitting the lake when it’s 30 degrees and snowing outside, but a newly passed law goes into effect in May that affects all boaters under 26 years old.
According to the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, beginning May 1, anyone younger than 26 years old operating a vessel powered by a motor of 10 horsepower or greater on a public waterway must complete a boating safety course.
