blowing_rock_road.jpgMost main roads across the area are in good condition as we reach the homestretch of this week’s winter storm.


A representative with the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office said some secondary roads around the region are still somewhat icy.  Residents should also be aware of black ice on the roadway.


Dispatch at the Avery County Sheriff's Office said roadways are starting to get rough in Avery because heavy snow is falling and covering the roadways again.


A representative with the Ashe County Sheriff's Office said main roads are beginning to clear up.  She said one wreck was reported in the county early this morning.
