Fourth of July festivities in Newland begin early. There’s a lot to do.
WECR's Jim Greene is this year's master of ceremonies. At ten a.m., a children’s parade on the Riverwalk is sure to attract a crowd. The live music kicks off at 1:30 and again from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Bands like Reign and the Southern 76 Band will keep the crowd moving. The fireworks display is set to take off at 9:45, so come and enjoy the festivities.
