hayes.jpgA 2009 graduate of Watauga High School took home the gold medal in the “job interview” competition at the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America’s 2009 National Leadership Conference.

According to Marshall Aschraft of Watauga County Schools, Anna Hayes received her award at a recognition session honoring all conference participants at the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee last month.

FCCLA members take on issues like teen violence prevention, traffic safety, family issues, career exploration, and others.  FCCLA is also pretty unique among other youth organizations because its programs are planned and run by members.
