Two Lenoir residents were arrested today on charges stemming from two different armed robberies.

Our Foothills Bureau reports 29-year-old Anthony Velasquez and 20-year-old Crystal Barnes were both arrested and accused of robbing the Fast Track store on Connelly Springs Road on June 30 and the Jack in the Box Restaurant on Blowing Rock Boulevard on July 1.

Authorities believe Velasquez took money from the register at both locations while holding a gun, and Barnes is believed to have been driving the getaway car.

Both suspects were placed in the Caldwell County Jail.
