The Ashe County Habitat for Humanity is looking for a generous member of the community to donate for Habitat’s cause.

According to Carla Wade, who is a Realtor with Ashe High Country Realty, who works with Habitat for Humanity.

Wade said since the Ashe County chapter is a new affiliate of Habitat for Humanity, funds and resources are low.

Wade said while the organization will be getting fund raising exercises off the ground this spring, it would be very helpful if members of the community could donate a lot or lots of land.

Donors could also see potential tax advantages if they are able to donate land to Habitat for Humanity.

Interested residents should contact Walt Peterson of the Site Selection Committee at (336) 877-7807 to learn how to help.
