Werner Claims Second at Nationals PDF Print

Lees-McRae cycling alumni Kerry Werner finished second at the USA Cycling Cross-Country Mountain Bike Nationals in Macungie, Pa.

 

 

Werner, a 2014 LMC graduate, completed the trail in 1:46.59 while Todd Wells of Durango, Colo. claimed gold with a time of 1:45.27. The race had 57 competitors, while five participants reigned from North Carolina.

 

Werner (Birdsboro, Pa.) is a three-time national champion, including consecutive titles in cyclocross and the 2013 Mountain Bike Nationals title.
