Appalachian State University football head coach Scott Satterfield is slated to participate in the second-annual North Carolina Coaches for Charity dinner on Wednesday, July 23 at the Hilton North

Raleigh/Midtown in Raleigh, N.C.

Satterfield will be joined at the event by four of North Carolina’s other five NCAA Division I FBS head coaches — Dave Clawson (Wake Forest), Dave Doeren (NC State), Larry Fedora (North Carolina) and Ruffin McNeill (East Carolina). The dinner includes a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, comments from each coach, a “Coaches Panel” Q&A moderated by longtime North Carolina play-by-play voice Woody Durham and the presentation of the inaugural North Carolina Coaches for Charity Community MVP Award to legendary UNC men’s basketball coach Dean Smith (Coach Smith’s wife, Linnea, will accept the award on his behalf).

The dinner benefits several North Carolina charities, including ones selected by each participating. Satterfield has selected Boone’s Equip Sports Ministries as his charity of choice.

A limited number of tickets are still available and can be purchased by visiting NorthCarolinaCoaches.com.
