The Hickory Crawdads returned to L.P. Frans Stadium for their first home stand of the 2nd half this week and continued their torrid pace through the month of June with five wins through the first seven games. The 'Dads have thus far posted a 23-3 record this month, already a franchise record with one game remaining.
Hickory's hot play has also catapulted the team to the top of the South Atlantic League, with the Crawdads 9-2 record standing as the best in either division. After posting sub - .500 records at home in each of the first two months of the season, the 'Dads stellar play and 12-2 mark at L.P. Frans Stadium in June has been a major factor in the team's rise.
The Crawdads hot streak also has them chasing down franchise history, as the club is now just one win away from moving their all-time record to an even 1,497 - 1,497. The 'Dads haven't been .500 as an organization since standing at 5-5, ten games into their inaugural 1993 season.
