A two-run double by Tommy Bullock of Mooresville in the fourth inning snapped a 1-1 tie and led Region 7 to a 5-1 win Sunday afternoon over Region 5 in the gold-medal game at the Junior/Senior High School Baseball Showcase at the North Carolina Powerade State Games at UNC-Charlotte.

"We had good balance with this team." said Region 7 coach Robert Little of Lake Norman High. "Our pitching was stingy, our defense played well and we had the timely hits. It's a great feeling to win it all. It was fun week for me, the coaching staff and the players."
