The Hickory Crawdads just keep; rolling along. The Crawdads (36-27), riding a ten-game winning streak, clobbered Delmarva 15-0 Monday night at Arthur W. Purdue Stadium. The 15 runs and 15 hits were also season highs.

And the Crawdads tied the franchise record set back in July of 2007. Four different batters had a three-hit night, led by Travis Demeritte who went 3-5 with his South Atlantic League leading 15th home run, a double, two RBI, and three runs scored. Joe Jackson extended his hitting streak to 13 games going 3-5 with a double, three RBI, and two runs scored. Lewis Brinson recorded a 3-4 game with a double and two RBI before being lifted in the seventh; Luis Marte went 3-5 with three runs scored in his first game back since April 12th.

Nearly lost in the offensive onslaught was the dominant performance by Crawdads starting pitcher Akeem Bostick (3-3), who tossed a season high seven shutout innings, allowing just two hits, no walks, with four strikeouts. Relievers Kevin Pucetas and Jose Valdespina combined to hold down the Shorebirds over the final two innings to complete the 'Dads fourth shutout win of the season.

The 'Dads jumped on Delmarva (35-29) starting pitcher Luc Rennie for two runs in the third on a two-run double by Jackson. Hickory tacked on another tally in the fourth when Demeritte crushed a solo homer to left field, and the 'Dads really pulled away with four runs in the fifth to take a 7-0 lead. Jackson brought home the first run with an RBI single, Brinson plated two runs with a double, and Ronald Guzman scored on Nomar Mazara's sacrifice fly.

The 'Dads came through with two more runs in the eighth a pair of bases loaded walks to Ryan Cordell and Mazara. Hickory finished things off with six runs in the ninth. The Crawdads sent 11 total batters to the plate in the frame; Demeritte doubled home a run; Evan Van Hoosier drove in a run with a sacrifice fly; Mazara had an RBI single; Jairo Beras walked with the bases loaded, and Guzman had a two-run double.

The Crawdads will go for a franchise record 11th straight win against Delmarva tonight at 7:05 p.m.
