The Hickory Crawdads kept their hot streak going Wednesday afternoon with a 3-1 win over the Charleston RiverDogs at L.P. Frans Stadium. The win also gives the 'Dads their first series sweep of the year while also pushing their season-best win streak to five straight games.

The Crawdads also got a solid pitching performance from their bullpen. Relievers Ricardo Rodriguez and Anyelo Leclerc combined to toss five shutout innings from the bullpen. Rodriquez (3-1), who got the win in relief, tossed four scoreless innings with four strikeouts; Leclerc, who picked up his first save, tossed a scoreless ninth and struck out two.

Catcher Joe Jackson took care of the offense as he drove in all three runs. His run-scoring single in the bottom of the first tied the game; his two-run double in the fifth gave Hickory (31-27) its two-run lead. Jackson is 4-8 with five RBI in his last two games.

Jackson finished the game going 2-3 with a double and three RBI; Nick Vickerson was 2-3 with a pair of doubles; Evan Van Hoosier was 2-4 with a stolen base.

The Crawdads are now a season-high four games over .500; in turn, the RiverDogs (27-32) have lost seven in a row. West Virginia Power comes to town tonight for a four-game, weekend series. Tonight's game begins at 7:00 p.m.
