Freshman Kim Robinson of Milligan College, an NAIA school in Johnson City, TN., and a member of the Appalachian Athletic Conference, put up some impressive numbers in her first collegiate season.




Robinson, a native of Vilas, N.C., who graduated from Watauga High School last spring, batted .311 this season with 28 hits, including eight home runs and four doubles with 40 runs-batted-in. Robinson had a .622 slugging percentage and a .436 on-base percentage. She played in 37 games, including 33 starts


Robinson was just as impressive on the mound. She was 5-3 with a 2.57 earned-run-average. She made 17 appearances, including eight starts with three complete games. She gave up 23 earned runs in 62.2 innings with 45 strikeouts and 29 walks. Robinson had a save and she threw a perfect game against Virginia Intermont College on March 26.
