True Kim Robinson, who graduated from Watauga High School last spring, has turned in a solid season with Milligan College, an NAIA school in Johnson City, TN.
Robinson, who tossed a perfect game against Virginia Intermont on March 26 (she was the first Milligan pitcher to do that since 2011), is batting .304 with three doubles, six home runs and 23 runs-batted-in. She has a .570 slugging percentage.
Robinson has played in 32 games for the Buffs, including 30 starts. She's also made 15 appearances on the mound with eight starts and three complete games. Robinson is 3-3 with a 3.19 earned-run-avearge. Robinson has given up 21 earned runs in 59.1 innings this season.
Milligan (21-15 overall; 16-4 Appalachian Athletic Conference) is currently playing in the AAC Tournament. The Buffs defeated Tennessee Wesleyan 4-1 in eight innings in the opening round at Domtar Park in Kingsport, TN. The Buffs take on St. Andrews in the AAC quarterfinals tonight.
