Lenoir-Rhyne's Brandi Hole and Sarah Kenley have been selected as the final South Atlantic Conference Softball Pitcher and Player Of The Week of the year, respectively.
Both players helped the Bears win three of four games last week and earn a share of the 2014 South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championship.
Hole, a sophomore from Sandy Ridge, N.C., went 2-0 for the week with a 0.00 earned run average and 10 strikeouts.
Hole threw a four-hit shutout in a 4-0 victory over Queens last Wednesday before limiting Tusculum to just two hits in a 3-1 triumph last Friday in the nightcap of a doubleheader split. Both games were on the road.
On the year, Hole has compiled a 19-4 record with 122 strikeouts and a league-leading 1.03 earned run average. Hole has also thrown seven shutouts.
Kenley, a freshman catcher from Charlotte, N.C., batted .583 (seven-for-12) for the week with two home runs and three runs batted in. Kenley hit the game-winning, two-run home run in the Bears' win over the Pioneers last Friday which gave Lenoir-Rhyne a share of the conference title.
On the season, Kenley has a .333 batting average with four home runs, 22 runs batted in and a .518 slugging percentage.
Lenoir-Rhyne (38-11), ranked No. 13 in NCAA Division II, is the top seed in the 2014 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Softball Tournament and will face eighth-seeded Catawba (24-19) on Thursday in the quarterfinal round at 5:30 p.m., in Harrogate, Tenn.
