Lenoir-Rhyne's Maryann Hoskins has been selected as the South Atlantic Conference Softball Pitcher Of The Week for the second time this year today,

league officials announced.

Hoskins, a sophomore from Havelock, N.C., did not allow a run in 23.2 innings of work last week in addition to a 4-0 record with 30 strikeouts.

Hoskins also threw three straight shutouts, including two against league-foes Coker (7-0) and Lincoln Memorial (2-0), and earned a victory in relief in a 3-2 win in eight innings over King.

All three contests took place at Bears Field as Lenoir-Rhyne won five of six games last week.

Hoskins, a 2013 First-Team All-South Atlantic Conference honoree, is currently 16-5 on the year with a team-high nine shutouts, a 1.34 earned run average and 161 strikeouts.

Mars Hill's Shaundee Woosley was selected as the South Atlantic Conference Softball Player Of The Week.

Lenoir-Rhyne, ranked No. 18 in NCAA Division II, hosts Mars Hill in a South Atlantic Conference doubleheader as part of Senior Day Saturday afternoon at Bears Field beginning at 2:00 p.m.
