Appalachian State State University landed 23 student-athletes on the winter Academic All-Conference list, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Those honored must carry at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA entering the winter season and had to participate in at least one half of their teams' competitions during the 2013-14 season. Student-athletes were also required to complete at least 24 credit hours in the previous two semesters.

Twenty-three Appalachian State student-athletes received the honor that included participants of men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track and field, and wrestling. Appalachian's 23 Academic All-Conference members led the Southern Conference, as Chattanooga was second with 20.

Women's indoor track and field polevaulter, Debra Domermuth, was one of only nine student-athletes in the conference to maintain a 4.0 GPA.
