Watauga High girls' soccer coach Brittany Bolick has announced that senior India Roseman will be signing her national letter of intent to play soccer next
fall at Catawba College, a Division II school in Salisbury, N.C., and a member of the South Atlantic Conference.
Roseman, a four-year varsity starter, has played outside and center back for the Pioneers.
"She is an excellent player with great defending ability," said WHS coach Brittany Bolick. "But she's also capable to take players on and be an offensive threat. She has had 5 career assists playing from the back line.
"India's work ethic and passion for the game are hard to match. She has had the desire to play at the next level since I have known her. She has worked on this goal everyday and pushes herself to be a better player each time she steps on the field. I see her having a brilliant college career and Catawba is lucky to have her."
Roseman was going to sign with Catawba Wednesday afternoon in the WHS Media Center at 3:15 p.m. But her signing was postponed due to inclement weather.
The WHS soccer team had its match with Patton postponed for the second time this week. The Pioneers travel to Morganton, N.C. to play the Panthers on Thursday. They return home to play Hickory on Friday.
