The L-R Men's Swimming Team had the third-highest grade point average in NCAA Division II this past fall at 3.42. Meanwhile, the Bears' women's squad carried a GPA of 3.12 for the fall.
This marks the fifth consecutive semester the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Swimming Team has had a top-three grade point average among all NCAA Division II schools.
The schools with the No. 1 grade point averages for the Fall 2013 semester in Division II were Lynn (3.71) for the women and Urbana (3.81) for the men.
The Team Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester/term and in the semester/term of the NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).
