|Lincoln Memorial Squeaks By Lenoir-Rhyne, 4-3|

The Lincoln Memorial Baseball Team (6-4-1, 4-2) held on to defeat Lenoir-Rhyne (3-9, 1-5), 4-3, Friday evening in a South Atlantic Conference game at Bears Field.
The Railsplitters' Josh Coker (Murphy, N.C.) hit a two-run home run in the second inning and earned the save to lead Lincoln Memorial to the win.
L-R tied the contest at two when junior outfielder Ivan Vieitez (Miami, Fla.) and senior outfielder Brandon Walker (Otisville, N.Y.) drove in runs in the third inning before Lincoln Memorial took the lead for good with a two-run seventh frame.
The Railsplitters' Ryan Burlison (Romeoville, Ill.) hit the game-winning RBI triple in the seventh as Lincoln Memorial garnered the road victory.
The Bears cut the lead to 4-3 with sophomore shortstop Matthew De La Rosa's (Austin, Texas) run-scoring single in the eighth but the Railsplitters were able to hold on for the win.
Lincoln Memorial's Logan Sawyer (Seymour, Tenn.) improved to 2-2 after allowing just two runs while pitching into the eighth inning and finishing with seven strikeouts. L-R senior Eric Ryan (Baltimore, Md.) (0-1) suffered the loss.
The two teams will wrap up the South Atlantic Conference weekend series with a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Bears Field beginning at 1:00 p.m.
