Appalachian State’s Makayla Roten was selected as the Southern Conference Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for meets over the weekend. The selections are made by the league’s track and

field coaches.

 

 

Roten, a freshman from Wilkesboro, N.C., finished second in the high jump at the Hilton Garden Invitational, clearing 5 feet, 7 inches, the seventh-best performance in Appalachian State history.
