The Watauga High boy's freshmen team finally cracked the win column. The Pioneers (1-6) defeated Johnson County (TN) 52-27 Saturday afternoon at Lentz-Eggers Gym.

 

 

And Marshall Thomas of the Pioneers picked up his first career head-coaching win.

 

Corey West led the Pioneers with 17 points; Justin Hollars had 12 points; Byers Camey and Mario Mendez each had six points apiece.

 

The Pioneers travel to Alexander Central Tuesday night for a 6 p.m. game.
