Stephan Curry, a two-time All-America at Davidson College and a member of the Golden State Warrior, has been named a starter for the National Basketball

Association All-Star Game in New Orleans, La., on February 16.

Curry, who will play for the Western Conference, is making his first all-star game appearance. He will be joined by Kobe Bryant, who despite playing in just six games this season due to an Achilles injury and a fractured knee, has been voted as a starter.

Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder topped the West in votes and is joined in the frontcourt by the Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin and Minnesota's Kevin Love.

LeBron James, who nosed out Durant as the top overall vote-getter, will be joined in the Eastern Conference starting lineup with his Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade, Indiana's Paul George, New York's Carmelo Anthony and Cleveland's Kyrie Irving.
