WHS Freshmen Come Up Short PDF Print

It was a tough night for the Watauga High freshmen boy's and girl's basketball teams Monday night.


The WHS girls lost to Hampton (Va.) 40-26 at Lentz-Eggers Gym. Olivia Reese had eight points for WHS; the WHS boys (0-6) dropped a 61-47 decision to Hampton (Va.) on Monday at home.


Justin Hollars led WHS with 11 points in the loss; Antonio Romero had ten points; Mario Mendez and Kevin Kapral had nine points apiece; Bryce Wallace finished with eight points.


The WHS freshmen boys host Johnson County (TN) Saturday at Lentz-Eggers Gym at 11 a.m.
