The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's and Women's Swimming Teams returned to competition on Saturday in a tri-meet against St. Andrews and Queens at the Levine Center for Wellness and Recreation.
In the men's competition, Lenoir-Rhyne fell to both St. Andrews (123-56) and Queens (105-66) while Queens edged St. Andrews, 92-82.
Meanwhile, on the women's side, L-R downed St. Andrews (109-17) but lost to Queens by a 102-56 score. Queens took care of St. Andrews, 106-23.
L-R received two first-place finishes on the day: freshman Briana Wright (Columbia, S.C.) in the women's 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.87) and sophomore Leah Watts (Hickory, N.C.) in the women's 500-yard freestyle (5:21.68).
The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's and Women's Swimming Teams next host Catawba and Carson-Newman on Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m., at the Shuford Physical Education Center.
