The No. 18 Lincoln Memorial Men's Basketball Team (9-1, 5-1) won its fifth straight contest with an 84-60 win over Lenoir-Rhyne (5-5, 4-2) Saturday night at Tex Turner Arena in a South Atlantic
Vincent Bailey (Jennings, Fla.) and Luquon Choice (Laurens, S.C.) each scored a game-high 20 points and were two of five players to score in double figures for the Railsplitters in the win.
L-R sophomore forward Rob Noyes (Morganton, N.C.) led the Bears with a career-high 18 points in the losing effort.
The Railsplitters led at halftime by a 43-31 score and never let the Bears pull the advantage under double digits the rest of the way.
Lincoln Memorial also held a 43-23 edge in rebounding and shot 56 percent (28-of-50) from the floor for the game in the victory.
L-R senior forward Allan Jones (Clemmons, N.C.) came off the bench to tally 14 points while senior guard R.J. McClure (Canton, N.C.) also finished in double figures with 10 points in the setback.
In the next round of South Atlantic Conference games on Wednesday beginning at 8:00 p.m., L-R returns home to take on Wingate at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium while Lincoln Memorial faces Anderson in Anderson, S.C.
