Two Charged After Lick Log Search PDF Print

On the evening of December 12th Officers and Investigators with the Avery County Sheriff’s Office searched a residence on Lick Log Rd.  Investigators located methamphetamine and various items of paraphernalia and other drugs  inside the residence.  Thirty four year old Vance Storie

has been arrested and placed under a $20,000.00 bond at the Avery County jail.  Investigators anticipate other charges resulting from items found at the residence believed to be contraband items or articles and guns which are likely to be stolen.   
Large Quantity of Methamphetamine Discovered in Search.  
On the morning of December 05th Officers and Investigators with the Avery County Sheriff’s Office searched a residence on Turbyfill Rd and located 14.5 grams of methamphetamine.  Two occupants of the residence were charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell/distribute.  Forty two year old Jackie Turbyfill of Roan Mountain and forty seven year old Brenda Clark of Turbyfill Rd were arrested and placed in the Avery County Jail.  Turbyfill was placed under a $200,000.00 bond and Clark was placed under a $20,000.00 bond.  Turbyfill also had outstanding warrants in Carter County, Tennessee.
