The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's and Women's Swimming Teams currently sit in seventh and ninth place, respectively, after Sunday's competition
at the fourth annual Shark Invitational at the Nova Southeastern Aquatics Center.
In the men's competition, Lenoir-Rhyne has compiled 52 points while Tampa leads with 862.5 points.
On the women's side, Tampa (690.5 points) stand in first place as well while L-R has totaled 39 points.
Lenoir-Rhyne freshman Lyndsay Richard (Gastonia, N.C.) set a school record in the women's 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:37 and was part of a squad which established a school record in the women's 200-yard freestyle relay as well.
Richard, sophomore Leah Watts (Hickory, N.C.), freshman Briana Wright (Columbia, S.C.) and sophomore Abigail McRea (Hickory, N.C.) set the new mark in the relay with a time of 1:42.89.
The competition at the Nova Southeastern Shark Invitational continues on Monday before wrapping up on Tuesday.
