ASU Women's Tennis Inks Machado PDF Print

Appalachian State University women’s tennis head coach Colin Crothers announced the signing of Melissa Machado (Miami, Fla./Felizx Varela)to a National Letter of Intent

on Thursday.

 

 

Machado, who has been ranked as high as No. 129 in the nation, is a four-star recruit according to TennisRecruiting.net and is one of the top junior players in the extremely competitive USTA Florida Region.

 

A native of Miami, Machado currently attends Felix Varela High School and will compete for the Mountaineers during the 2014-15 season.

 

Appalachian opens its spring championship season when travels to Wake Forest on Jan. 10 and hosts UNC Asheville in its first home
