The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Team (14-4-1) earned the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region and will host one part of the regional

tournament this weekend.

L-R will face the winner of the first round match between Belmont Abbey (14-3-3) and Pfeiffer (13-6-1) on Sunday at the Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex at 2:00 p.m.
Belmont Abbey, the third seed, will take on sixth-seeded Pfeiffer on Friday afternoon beginning at 2:00 p.m., in the opening-round contest.

Lenoir-Rhyne is making its fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Division II Tournament. The Bears also hosted the regionals in 2011. Last year, L-R fell to Belmont Abbey by a 1-0 score in the opening round of the postseason in Columbus, Ga.
L-R is ranked No. 16 in NCAA Division II and is coming off its fourth consecutive South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championship.

Pfeiffer earned an automatic qualifying berth to the tournament after capturing the Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship while Belmont Abbey received an at-large bid.
Earlier this season, the Bears defeated the Falcons by a 3-2 score on September 8 at home before winning in overtime on the road against the Crusaders, 2-1, on October 1. L-R is 9-0 at home this season.

The other half of the Southeast Regional Tournament will take place in Wingate, N.C., and will include fourth-seeded Columbus State (14-6), fifth-seeded Clayton State (11-3-6) and top-seeded Wingate (15-2-3). The Bulldogs captured the 2013 Food Lion SAC Tournament Championship.

The two winners of each region will advance to the third round to be played on Friday, November 22. The national quarterfinal match-up will be on Sunday, November 24, against the champion from the South Regional.

Both the third and quarterfinal rounds will hosted by the highest remaining seed from the Southeast Region. The national semifinals and championships will be played on December 5 and December 7, respectively, at Blanchard Woods Park in Evans, Ga.
