Lenoir-Rhyne University's Zach Neumann has been selected as the D2Football.com National Special Teams Player Of The Week.
Zeumann, a senior placekicker from Mechanicsville, Md., went three-for-three on field goal attempts from over 40 yards, all in the second half, in L-R's 37-3 win over then-No. 16 Carson-Newman last Saturday at home.
One of Neumann's field goals was a career-long 47-yarder and he connected on all four point-after-attempts for 13 total points in the contest.
Zeumann, who is second on the team in scoring with 63 points this year, set the school single-season mark for points by a kicker last year with 83.
Zeumann was also an all-conference and all-region selection last season and has connected on 10-of-12 field goal attempts and 32-of-34 extra point tries this season.
Delta State's Tyler Sullivan and Gannon's Luke Rankie were named the D2Football.com Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.
Lenoir-Rhyne (8-1, 6-0), ranked No. 16 in NCAA Division II and first in the region, looks to make it nine victories in a row this Saturday against Alderson Broaddus on Senior Day beginning at Noon at Moretz Stadium.
With the victory over the Eagles last week, the Bears have clinched at least a share of its third consecutive South Atlantic Conference Championship.
