|ASU Men’s Golf Takes Second at Hummingbird Intercollegiate|

Appalachian State University men’s golf took second place at the Hummingbird Intercollegiate hosted by Western Carolina on Tuesday.
The Mountaineers lead the field afte two rounds, but carded a final round 294 to Wofford’s 286. The Terriers won the tournament at eight-over-par with App State finishing 12-over-par.
John Michael Cole (Fayetteville, N.C./Cape Fear) led Appalachian overall finishing in a tie for seventh. Cole shot a third round 73 for a total of 215, which was good for two-over-par. Finishing in a tie for 10th was Casey Komline (Dorset, Vt./Burr and Burton Academy) who shot a final round 72 for a tournament total of 216 and was three-over-par for the tournament.
Lee Mitchell (Conover, N.C./Newton-Conover) finished 15th individually with a final round score of 74 with a 217 overall. Mitchell finished four-over-par. Eric Eberspeaker (Rock Hill, S.C./Rock Hill) finished tied for 30th with a total score of 222. Eberspeaker shot a final round 75 to finish nine-over-par for the tournament. Finishing in a tie for 35th was Caleb Keck (Reidsville, N.C./Rockingham County) who carded a final round 76, bringing his tournament total to 225 and 12-over-par.
The Mountaineers have finished their fall slate and will begin their championship season on March 10 when they host the Bash at the Beach in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. at The Surf Golf and Beach Club.
