L-R Swimming Competes At Wingate Quad Meet PDF Print

Both the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's and Women's Swimming Teams finished fifth at the Wingate Quad Meet which concluded Saturday at the Mecklenburg County Aquatics Center.

The L-R men's squad finished with 235 points while Wingate finished first with 1,008 points. On the women's side, Lenoir-Rhyne garnered 269 points while Wingate prevailed with 988 total points.

L-R sophomore Leah Watts (Hickory, N.C.) placed first in the women's 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:40.78.

Watts also finished third in the women's 100-yard freestyle (54.75) and fifth in the women's 500-yard freestyle (5:11.10) events.

In addition, freshman Lyndsay Richard (Gastonia, N.C.) placed third in the women's 1,000-yard freestyle (10:50.47) for Lenoir-Rhyne.

The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's and Women's Swimming Teams next compete in the Fall Frenzie on November 22-24 in Charlotte, N.C.
