Red Tornadoes Down Pioneers, 33-7 PDF Print

The Watauga High junior varsity football team suffered its third loss in the last four games. The Pioneers were bested by Hickory 33-7 Thursday night in a Northwestern 3A/4A Conference game at Frank Barger

Stadium.

 

 

TT.J. Saxton and Terrance Watkins each scored twice as the Red Tornadoes (5-4 overall; 4-2 Northwestern 3A/4A Conference) cruised by WHS. Emory Wallace scored for WHS (5-4; 3-3); Chase Palm had the extra point on WHS' TD.

 

The Pioneers wrap up the season at home next Thursday against South Caldwell. The Spartans (9-0; 6-0), who have clinched the NW3A/4A title at the JV level, belted winless Fred T. Foard 55-16 Thursday night in Sawmills, N.C.
