Pioneers Pound Panthers, 29-6 PDF Print

The Watauga High junior varsity football team knocked off Patton 29-6 in a Northwestern 3A/4A Conference game Friday night at Jack Groce Stadium.

 

 

Evan Suggs and Hamilton Castle led the way for WHS. Suggs scored twice, on a 15-yard run and an eight-yard run; Castle scored on a six-yard scamper and he hooked up with Case Taylor on a 35-yard touchdown pass.

 

Cory West and Elijah Temple both scored on two-point runs; Nate Berry kicked an extra point. The JV team (5-3 overall; 3-2 NW3A/4A Conference) travels to Hickory next Thursday night.
