Watauga High Athletic Director Tom Wright has announced that Brett Green has been named the new boy's lacrosse coach.

Green, who teaches Business Education at WHS and is also the Pioneers' wide receivers coach on the football team, replaces Chris Wallace, who resigned in June.

Wallace, who led the Pioneers for four seasons, led WHS to a District 9 championship last spring. The Pioneers (6-6 last season; 6-0 in District 9) made the state playoffs for the first time in school history and lost to Pfafftown-Reagan in the opening-round of the state playoffs.

Nick Williams, who graduated last spring, finished his career with the Pioneers by scoring a school record 67 goals (he was second in the state in goal scoring). He had 104 goals in his career.
