Businessman Charged With Stolen Goods PDF Print

Caldwell Sheriff Alan Jones and Chief Andy Day have announced the arrest of a Caldwell businessman on stolen property counts.  Sheriff Jones said that on Wednesday, October 9th, a joint investigation between the Hudson Police Department and Investigators with the Caldwell Sheriff’s Office led to Mark Phillip Long, owner of Crazy Mark’s Inc. on Hickory Boulevard in Hudson, being found with goods stolen in area break-ins.  The joint investigation involved allegations that the business was receiving and selling stolen property, and with enough evidence gathered, a search warrant was obtained for the 3341 Hickory Boulevard business.  An extensive search of the business revealed multiple items that have been reported as Stolen in Caldwell County, items with serial numbers as well as owner applied numbers and engraved initials assisted with identifying stolen property said to be  contained within the business.  Mark Phillip Long is charged with 1 Count of Felony Receiving Stolen Property and 2 Counts of Felony Possession of Stolen Property. Long was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a total of $15,000.00 in secured Bonds.
