The Mars Hill Men's Soccer Team (4-5, 4-2) notched a 1-0 victory in double overtime over Lenoir-Rhyne (6-5, 2-3) Wednesday evening at the Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex in a South Atlantic Conference

The Lions' Christian McArthur (Huntersville, N.C.) scored at the 107:51 mark of the second overtime to lift Mars Hill to its second straight win.

McArthur one-touched the ball into the net off a corner kick from Jack Donaldson (Paisley, SCOTLAND), who was credited with the assist.

Mars Hill also held a 20-16 advantage in shots taken while Chris Mitchell (Creedmoor, N.C.) earned the shutout win in goal. Mitchell stopped eight shots on the night.

Lenoir-Rhyne senior goalkeeper Stefan Dill (Southampton, BERMUDA) took the setback despite allowing just one goal to go along with four saves.

L-R also suffered its third straight defeat and were held scoreless for the second consecutive match. The Bears have lost four of five matches after starting the season with a 5-1 mark.

Lenoir-Rhyne faces Anderson at home on Saturday at 5:00 p.m., in a South Atlantic Conference match while Mars Hill returns home to take on league-foe Coker Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
