For the second consecutive week, Lenoir-Rhyne's Garcelle Alequine was selected as the South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Player Of The Week.
Alequine, a sophomore midfielder from Wilmington, Del., tallied three goals in leading L-R to a pair of wins over Belmont Abbey (2-1 in double overtime) and Carson-Newman (3-2) on the road last week.
Alequine scored the match's first two goals in the victory over the Eagles to push the Bears' winning streak to four contests.
Alequine, a 2012 First-Team All-South Atlantic Conference and All-Southeast Region honoree, currently leads the team in goals scored (six) and total points with 16 this fall.
Lenoir-Rhyne (6-2-1, 3-0-1) is now 23-0-1 in its last 24 South Atlantic Conference regular season matches dating back to the 2010 campaign.
The Bears are also ranked fourth in the latest NSCAA NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Southeast Regional Poll.
Lenoir-Rhyne returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Mars Hill in a league match at the Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex beginning at 5:00 p.m.
