Here is a run down of games played around the region Friday night. Freedom and Hibriten remained in a three-way tie for first place with Watauga by posting victories on Friday night.
With the game tied at 14-14, the Patriots jumped on top for good. A Titus Smith scoring pass to senior wide receiver Khris Gardin on a slant pattern gave the Patriots a seven-point lead. Leading 34-27 in the fourth quarter, the Red Tornadoes were on the FHS' 20-yard-line before Steven Beck's interception ended the Red Tornadoes’ threat.

Hibriten rambled for 272 rushing yards and crushed St. Stephens 47-14 Friday night. The Panthers (6-0 overall; 2-0 Northwestern 3A/4A Conference) built an early 20-0 lead and coasted home.
