|Alequine Named SAC Soccer Player Of Week|

Lenoir-Rhyne University's Garcelle Alequine has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Player Of The Week, league officials announced this afternoon.
Alequine, a sophomore midfielder from Wilmington, Del., finished with two goals and two assists in leading L-R to pair of conference victories last week at home over Coker (3-0) and Lincoln Memorial (3-1) on Wednesday and Saturday, respectively.
Alequine notched both assists in the win over the Cobras before scoring twice in the victory over the Lady Railsplitters.
Alequine, an All-SAC and All-Southeast Region honoree last year, is tied for the team lead in assists (four) this fall to go along with three goals scored and 10 total points.
Lenoir-Rhyne next travels to Jefferson City, Tenn., to face Carson-Newman on Saturday at 5:00 p.m., in a South Atlantic Conference match.
The Bears are 22-0-1 in its last 23 league contests dating back to the 2010 season.
Lenoir-Rhyne's next home match will take place on Wednesday, October 9, against Mars Hill in a conference match beginning at 5:00 p.m., at the Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex.
