Senior Tyler Dunn (Jasper, Ga.) finished 36th to pace the Lees-McRae College men's cross country team to a strong performance at the UNC Charlotte Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Dunn led the way for the Bobcats with a time of 27:17, as Michael Davis (Independence, Va.) followed closely in 42nd with a mark of 27:24. Anthony Carroll (Stevensville, Md.) and Sean Condon (Walnut Cove, N.C.) posted times of 28:47 and 28:52, as Colby Shell rounded out the scorers for the Bobcats with a mark of 29:17.
In the women's race, senior Heather Peterman (Buford, Ga.) ran a solid race on Saturday afternoon as the Lees-McRae College women's cross country team's lone representative at the UNC Charlotte Invitational on Saturday, finishing 37th in the women's green competition.
Peterman continued her strong senior season in Saturday's 6k race, posting a time of 30:10.5 to beat out the next closest competitor by nearly two minutes. The Buford, Ga. native has run in all races in which the Bobcats have participated so far this fall, pacing the squad in each one.
Lees-McRae returns to the trails on Friday, October 4 when the Bobcats travel to Concord, N.C. for the Conference Carolinas Pre-Conference Meet.
